Career Counselling Cell
Career counseling and exploration are crucial and important services in college. Career counselors assess the skills, interests and values of students. They identify vision, mission and goals of institution and help them for career. The Career Services offers a broad range of career services that empower students to explore, define, and realize their career goals. Our Career Counseling is a student-centered support service. We appoint counselors in our college. Our goal is to provide lifetime tools and skills for professional development, job search success, and career satisfaction.
Employment Counseling
The college has Career Counseling Cell. It guides the regular students as well as ex-students in building up their career and also about employment. The News Paper cuttings of various advertisements are displayed on the notice board. The Career Counselors inform the regular students and motivate them to pursue for it. Its various functions are given below.
- It gives information about various jobs, vocations advertised in newspapers, of local, regional and national level.
- It gives vocational guidance to get job in private as well as public companies. It guides students to face competitive exams like MPSC, UPSC, Civil Services, Railway, Banks, LIC, etc.
- It gives the systematic guidance of NET, SET and PET exams of National and State level respectively. These exams are mandatory for the career as college teachers.
- The bureau also provides information and guidance about the subjects and the question papers of competitive exams especially objective questions of General Knowledge exams. It instructs how to face such exams.
- The college organizes various classes to make students economically independent. Carrier Guidance Cell of this college is also active enough to give guidance about career building.
Academic Counselling
Apart from the regular class room teaching, teachers of this college remain in contact with the students, and try to solve their difficulties, confusions through academic counseling. They also arrange extra classes when required and discuss the topic under study deeply and carefully.
During the whole year, Two Internal Tests are conducted. The assessed test papers of the students are shown to them in the class room. Their mistakes are discussed and discussion is followed by counselling. Even the fear of exam is removed through proper guidance. Seminars, project report, elocution are activities followed by necessary guidance and counselling by the concerned teachers at graduate level.
Personal Counselling
The principal and teachers of the college counsel the students to solve their social and familial problems. They try to identify individual student’s latent potential, talent and focus on the development of their skill. Teachers also try to identify the area of interest of an individual student and accordingly give her personal counseling. Teachers establish a kind of rapport with the students. They make them aware of familial relations and emotions connected to them. The college staff gives monetary aid to the needy students by collecting funds.
Guidance Cell of the college not only gives academic guidance but also gives personal guidance to solve all sorts of problems of the students. The Cell tries its level best to create a healthy society through personal counselling.
