Department of Political Science

The Department of Political Science is dedicated to fostering democratic values, civic responsibility, and political awareness among students. To bridge theoretical knowledge with practical governance, the department regularly organizes field visits to key local administration bodies such as the Tehsil Office and Panchayat Samiti. In addition to the core curriculum, the department offers specialized skill-enhancing programs, including a Certificate Course in Human Rights, empowering students with an understanding of constitutional rights and duties. To promote active citizenship within the community, the department frequently conducts Voter Awareness Camps and Electoral Literacy Drives. Through interactive guest lectures, mock parliament sessions, and workshops on Indian democracy and public policy, the department equips students with critical thinking skills and prepares them for competitive examinations as well as careers in public administration and social service.
