Department of Sociology

The Department of Sociology was established in the year 2002. Since its inception, the department has been actively committed to engaging with contemporary social issues and fostering social awareness through various academic and community-driven initiatives.he department places a strong emphasis on empirical research, including dedicated field studies and comprehensive academic research on marginalized communities, particularly the Nomadic and Denotified Tribes  with a special focus on the socio-economic conditions and development of the Pardhi community. However, Department also conducts guest lectures and co-curricular activities for the students.
